Your File Could Not Be Uploaded Please Try Again

Hi Ahasub Chowdhury,

Sorry for the trouble caused by the issue. Appreciate that you share with us the troubleshooting steps you have tried.

From description, the issue happens when the user tries to may changes in SharePoint and personal OneDrive documents from the local OneDrive sync folder on Mac. (If I misunderstand anything, feel free to correct me)

The issue may be related to Office cache, you may let the user try steps below:

1.Firstly close all Office apps.

2.Open Finder, press Command+Shift+g, in the window that opens, enter ~/Library/Containers

in the Containers folder, move these folders to Desktop:

Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint

3.Open a document from OneDrive sync folder and edit it to check the result.

And you may let the user try following steps and see if issue still happens:

1.Click OneDrive cloud icon from top menu on Mac, click Help & Settings.

2.In Office tab, uncheck the option "Use Office applications to sync Office files that I open"

3.Try to open a document and make changes, see if error message appears.

If issue persists, for troubleshooting, could you please confirm information below?

1.If the user goes to SharePoint Online and personal OneDrive Online in browser to edit documents, does issue happen?

2.What is the version of user's OneDrive app? And what is the version of Office app? 16.46?

3.Does issue happen when the user edits some specific documents or all documents? (what about editing other Office files? Excel/PowerPoint?)

4.Please also share a screenshot of the error message. Appreciate your patience and effort.

This sounds like a timing issue due to a slow internet connection. How fast is the connection to the internet?

Hi Jim, We ruled out the internet connection issue as it occurs when the user is at the office as well where we have at least above 50mbps download and upload speed.

Hi Tina,

Apologies for the delay in getting back to you. We did remove office cache few days ago unfortunately it didn't help. It happens randomly with different documents and the user doesn't use online portal. Here is how the error message looks like.

Thank you for sharing the detailed information.

As only one user is having the issue, to check if it's an issue happening in a specific Mac user profile, you may let the user try to switch to another account then log in Mac, then go to check if error message still appears when he opens documents.

Set up users, guests and groups on Mac
